Tommy Hannum-Robert's Western World

Post by Brett Day »

Before the CMA Awards, I went to Robert's Western World to listen to music, and saw a band coming in as I was finishing eating, and in the band, the steel guitarist was Tommy Hannum playing a blue Emmons Lashley LeGrande pedal steel guitar. The band was playing "Take Me Back To Tulsa" and the steel sounded awesome! I saw quite a few things related to Shot Jackson and Sho-Bud, including a picture of Shot Jackson and Donna Darlene. Tommy Hannum is a great steel player!

Tommy is a great player. What a lucky break to hear pedal steel in that setting. I haven't been to Nashville since the early 2000s. I seen some decent bands but not much pedal steel back then.
